Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with five key departments—namely, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the State Administration for Market Regulation—has unveiled the 'Guidelines for Enhancing Service to the Real Economy and Fostering High-Quality E-Commerce Development'. These 'Guidelines' outline 16 strategic measures across five core areas: aiding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their transformation journey, deepening the penetration of rural e-commerce, nurturing industrial e-commerce ecosystems, expediting technological innovation and its practical application, propelling cross-border e-commerce initiatives, and expanding the reach of 'Silk Road E-Commerce'. Collectively, these initiatives are designed to unleash the inherent potential of e-commerce and bolster the high-quality growth of the real economy.
