Opera Neon, a browser developed by Norwegian browser maker Opera with the concept of an "agentic AI browser," has now launched a new MCP Connector feature. This functionality allows external AI clients, upon user authorization, to directly access real browser sessions, autonomously navigate webpages, and perform actions. Opera Neon incorporates the built-in Operator AI model, which achieves contextual awareness by analyzing webpage DOM structures, supports automated task execution such as form filling and ticket booking, and operates locally to protect user privacy. Additionally, the browser offers features like chatting and content creation, supports multilingual communication and code generation, and adopts a subscription-based pricing model.
