Goldman Sachs Chief Economist Jan Hatzius pointed out that despite significant investments by U.S. companies in the field of artificial intelligence, the costs of importing chips and hardware offset the actual value of these investments in GDP calculations. It is expected that the contribution to U.S. GDP growth in 2025 will be essentially zero, a view that may be shared by some business leaders. A survey of nearly 6,000 executives revealed that while 70% of companies are actively applying artificial intelligence, about 80% stated that it has had no impact on employment or productivity.
