Michael Burry, the well-known American investor and the prototype for "The Big Short," stated that the current artificial intelligence (AI) boom led by Nvidia may resemble the speculative frenzy surrounding the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) in the 1920s, following a pattern of boom and bust. He pointed out that after RCA's stock price soared in 1929, it plummeted by 98% in 1932. Despite the continued development of radio technology, investors still suffered significant losses. Burry questioned the scale of current AI infrastructure investments, arguing that massive capital expenditures could harm corporate financial health and noting that the investment in AI data center construction is unsustainable.
