Snack giant Mondelez International is set to deploy a cutting-edge generative AI tool to slash its marketing content production expenses by an impressive 30% to 50%. In partnership with Accenture, the company embarked on the development of this innovative tool last year. Mondelez anticipates crafting TV commercials for the upcoming holiday season next year and envisions utilizing it for crafting ads for the high-stakes Super Bowl event in 2027.
Mondelez has earmarked over $40 million for the development of this tool, with the potential for even greater cost savings in the pipeline. Presently, the content generated by this AI marvel is already making waves in social media marketing, such as driving the promotion of Chips Ahoy! cookies in the United States and Milka chocolate in Germany. This November, Oreo will feature content generated by this tool on e-commerce platforms across the U.S. Mondelez also has its sights set on rolling out the tool in Brazil, the UK, and other key markets. Rest assured, human oversight will be in place to review the AI-generated content, ensuring it adheres to all relevant standards and regulations.
