Microsoft has recently rolled out a series of new enhancements for the AI-driven 'Copilot Mode' in its Edge browser. Launched initially in July 2025, this innovative mode incorporates a chat interface seamlessly into each Edge tab. This allows users to directly pose questions, access information, or input URLs without navigating away from their current tab. The true power of Copilot Mode lies in its ability to concurrently analyze content across all open tabs. This feature is particularly useful for users who need to compare products or aggregate information from multiple sources in different windows. Furthermore, Copilot Mode offers voice control functionality, enabling users to navigate the web and perform searches using only voice commands, eliminating the need for keyboard input. Looking ahead, Microsoft has also shared its roadmap for future developments. These include enabling Copilot to automatically make restaurant reservations, manage travel itineraries, and even handle online shopping tasks, all upon receiving user authorization.
