On October 24, a research report released by CITIC Securities highlighted that the commercialization of AI technology is gathering pace, with cloud service providers consistently ramping up their capital expenditures on AI initiatives. It is anticipated that the newly installed capacity of data centers worldwide will sustain a period of rapid expansion. The power density within artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC) is on a steep upward trajectory, with high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power distribution solutions emerging as the prevailing trend.

As a cutting-edge advancement in HVDC power distribution technology, the solid-state transformer (SST) boasts notable benefits over alternatives like traditional HVDC systems and Panama power supplies. These advantages encompass enhanced conversion efficiency, a shorter construction timeline, a more compact footprint, and superior integration with renewable energy sources. The SST is well-positioned to effectively tackle the power distribution hurdles that data centers encounter in the high-power era.

With the NV Rubin Ultra chip and NVL576 entering full-scale production, there is an expectation that the SST power distribution solution will see a gradual rollout. Regarding investment options, it is advisable to make selections based on factors such as product maturity, technological complementarity, and the existing customer base.
