On October 23, 2025, Tencent orchestrated the IMA Open Day event in Beijing, where it was proclaimed that the beta testing phase for IMA Version 2.0 would kick off on the following day, the 24th.
The IMA 2.0 iteration heralds the introduction of a novel 'Task Mode', which leverages agent capabilities, along with a knowledge base feature aptly named 'AI Highlights'. The enhanced IMA is now capable of comprehending objectives, executing tasks, and delivering results, effectively transforming into the user's 'collaborative ally'. Users have the flexibility to initiate tasks via natural language and can append knowledge bases, documents, and other pertinent references. When it comes to generating podcasts, users are also empowered to choose the number of participants and voice tones.
Drawing upon data sourced from the vast expanse of the internet or the designated knowledge base, IMA will autonomously dissect tasks, employ tools to fulfill instructions, and engage in self-monitoring and correction, ultimately yielding results that are directly usable.
Furthermore, the knowledge base capabilities have undergone an upgrade, boasting the new 'AI Highlights' feature and explicit metrics. These enhancements are designed to assist users in swiftly evaluating the authority and activity level of the knowledge base. IMA has successfully infiltrated over 20 industries, emerging as the 'second brain' for a diverse array of sectors.
