This afternoon, Huawei officially introduced its latest operating system, HarmonyOS 6. This new system is designed to offer users a more visually appealing, user-friendly, intelligent, secure, and seamless experience. The UI design now incorporates nine fresh sets of desktop icons that blend skeuomorphic and flat design elements. Additionally, the control center supports customizable layouts, boasting more refined lighting and dynamic effects for an enhanced visual experience.

The upgraded Ark Engine significantly improves system smoothness, achieving a 15% increase over HarmonyOS 5 and a remarkable 40% boost compared to HarmonyOS 4. This enhancement ensures that apps launch almost instantaneously, providing a swift and responsive user experience.

A new feature, 'One-Touch Multi-Share,' allows for simultaneous syncing across multiple devices, streamlining the sharing process. Meanwhile, 'Touch & Connect' facilitates cross-device operations between phones and computers, such as effortlessly inserting images into PowerPoint presentations.

In terms of security, the AI Privacy Guard is a standout feature. It detects when strangers are looking at the screen and automatically hides sensitive content. Additionally, the system offers 24/7 anti-fraud protection, ensuring users' data and privacy are safeguarded at all times.

Regarding intelligent features, the Live Window now provides direct access to 12306 train information and displays dynamic weather effects from Trip.com, enhancing the convenience and interactivity of the user interface. The Xiaoyi Assistant has also been upgraded, now supporting 16 dialect interactions, automating scheduled tasks, and even generating business plans.

Furthermore, the system seamlessly integrates with the Apple ecosystem, supporting near-field file transfers with iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices. Starting today, over 90 models are eligible for upgrades. Public testing for the Pura 70 and Mate 70 series will commence in mid-to-late November. Classic models like the Mate 60 will receive coverage by early 2026, ensuring a broad range of users can enjoy the benefits of HarmonyOS 6.
