Li Chao, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office and Spokesperson for the National Development and Reform Commission, emphasized that private enterprises are the driving force behind the 'AI Plus' initiative and the trailblazers in advancing artificial intelligence applications. During the first quarter of this year, China witnessed the creation of 254,000 new private enterprises dedicated to AI software R&D. Many of these enterprises have taken the lead in integrating AI into their production processes and business operations. Moving forward, the National Development and Reform Commission will work hand-in-hand with relevant departments to bolster the participation of diverse enterprises in the 'AI Plus' initiative. Strategic policies will be rolled out to foster the growth of domestically developed computing power models and datasets. Moreover, the 'Two New' policies (referring to policies promoting new quality productive forces and a new development paradigm) will offer even greater support to private enterprises. Financially, incentives will be provided for computing power and related sectors through initiatives such as the distribution of AI vouchers.
