On September 17, 2025, the WTO released the World Trade Report 2025, forecasting that by 2040, artificial intelligence (AI) will significantly drive growth in global trade and GDP. Under different policy and technological advancement scenarios, global trade volume is projected to increase by 34% to 37%, while global GDP will grow by 12% to 13%.
