Market research data reveals that global sales of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles surged by 29% year-on-year in April 2025, totaling 1.5 million units. Notably, both the Chinese and European markets sustained stable growth, whereas the North American market experienced its first decline since September of the previous year. Specifically, China witnessed a 32% year-on-year increase in electric vehicle sales, reaching 900,000 units. European sales climbed 35% year-on-year to 300,000 units. In contrast, North American sales dipped to 100,000 units, marking a 5.6% year-on-year decrease.
