On May 14, the Chinese internet giant Baidu announced its plans to test its driverless ride-hailing service, Apollo Go, in Europe for the first time. This marks a significant step in Baidu's overseas expansion amidst growing domestic competition. According to reports, Baidu is in negotiations with PostAuto, a public bus service provider owned by Swiss Post, to introduce the service in Switzerland. Furthermore, Baidu intends to establish a local entity in Switzerland and commence testing by the end of the year. Additionally, the company expresses interest in launching the Apollo Go service in Turkey.
