Tesla has unveiled a video revelation, asserting that the localization rate for the Model 3 and the revamped Model Y manufactured at its Shanghai Gigafactory has surpassed 95%. This signifies that an overwhelming majority of components and parts for these models originate from China. Tao Lin, Vice President of Tesla, emphasized that the "Made in China" ingenuity embodied by the Shanghai Gigafactory enables domestic consumers to access the lowest prices globally for the Model 3 and Model Y. With a sense of pride, she disclosed that Tesla collaborates with over 400 local Chinese supply chain partners, striving together for excellence in quality, efficient production, and cost optimization. This collaborative effort results in high-quality products for millions of users worldwide.
