Between January and February of this year, South Korea's leading electric vehicle battery producers—LGES, SK On, and Samsung SDI—saw their combined global market share decrease by 5.5 percentage points, down to 17.7%. While LGES and SK On individually reported increased usage, this positive momentum was overshadowed by the rapid expansion of Chinese firm BYD. BYD anticipates its sales for the first quarter of this year to reach 11.888 billion yuan, marking a substantial year-on-year growth of 86.04%. Consequently, BYD's secondary battery market share has surged from 13.1% to 16.9%.
