Securing clearance from the Dutch RDW (Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer, the Dutch Road Traffic Agency) represents a pivotal milestone, after which Tesla plans to submit an application to the European Union, expectedly in May. CEO Elon Musk has expressed optimism about swiftly obtaining regulatory approval, yet the stringent regulatory landscape in the European market could potentially postpone the widespread deployment of the FSD system. A former Tesla executive cautioned that pertinent regulations might not come into effect until 2028. Despite these challenges, Tesla has already introduced the FSD Beta in China and Mexico.
