During the Qingming Festival holiday, residents of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have shown a significant appetite for tomb-sweeping and spring outings, with the majority of travels being of medium to short distances. On April 3, the Guannianfang Mainline Toll Station in Erdos City experienced an exodus of over 13,900 vehicles, leading to traffic congestion. Compared to the previous month, the traffic volume on ordinary national and provincial highways surged by 26.14%, comprising 2,900 passenger cars and 1,397 trucks. Notably, the Otog Banner section of Provincial Highway 216 experienced a high level of congestion.
