Volkswagen will introduce "import adjustments" on vehicles imported from countries affected by the 25% tariff imposed by US President Trump. As a result of this tariff, Volkswagen has halted rail shipments from Mexico and will temporarily hold incoming vehicles from Europe at ports. According to institutional analyses, the tariff encompasses annual imports of cars and components valued at over $460 billion. Volkswagen anticipates announcing pricing strategies for affected vehicles by mid-April and aims to have these vehicles available in dealerships by the end of the month.
