On March 17, BYD unveiled the 'Super e-Platform,' marking the world's first mass-produced 1000V high-voltage platform designed specifically for passenger vehicles. Simultaneously, the company introduced its groundbreaking megawatt flash charging technology, which boasts a 50% reduction in the internal resistance of flash charging batteries. This technology enables a maximum charging current of 1000A and achieves a charging rate of up to 10C, effectively adding 2 kilometers of driving range per second of charging. We anticipate that the implementation of this technology will necessitate upgrades across batteries, vehicles, and charging infrastructure, thereby stimulating increased demand for carbon-coated materials, thin coating equipment, silicon carbide, high-voltage protection components, and liquid-cooled supercharging stations. BYD's latest technological advancement not only strengthens its market position but also serves as a catalyst, propelling the broader trend towards high-voltage supercharging in the automotive industry.
