NIO EV has recently embarked on the dissolution of its Research and Development (R&D) team, with approximately 200 employees currently navigating the resignation process. Those who complete the resignation procedures this week will be eligible for an N+1 compensation package, with the payout deadline set for May 30. On March 18, internal R&D staff at NIO EV's Tongxiang factory were instructed to sign resignation agreements. Currently, NIO EV employs a total workforce of about 1,700 individuals. Prior to this development, the company had implemented a salary reduction across all levels, with the majority of employees experiencing a 50% cut in their remuneration. Resigning employees will be compensated according to Shanghai's minimum wage standard, which currently stands at 2,690 yuan.
