NVIDIA has made an announcement that a host of companies, including Bolt, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and the autonomous freight company Einride, are making significant strides in autonomous driving projects. These initiatives are firmly grounded on NVIDIA's Hyperion computing platform, encompassing L3 and L4 autonomous driving as well as the future of Robotaxi fleets. Notably, Volvo Cars is set to embrace the Hyperion platform along with the Alpamayo autonomous driving software stack. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz will leverage the platform to pioneer L3 and L4 autonomous driving technologies. Furthermore, NVIDIA has rolled out the Halos SAFE safety assessment framework. This framework seamlessly integrates simulation, hardware- and software-in-the-loop testing, road testing, and fleet monitoring. By standardizing scenarios, tests, and quantitative metrics, it produces traceable safety validation evidence, thereby bolstering the development and deployment of autonomous driving systems.
