On October 21, NVIDIA announced that Bolt, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and autonomous freight company Einride are leveraging NVIDIA's Hyperion computing platform to advance autonomous driving projects, covering L3 and L4 autonomous driving as well as future Robotaxi fleets. Among them, Volvo Cars will adopt the Hyperion platform and the Alpamayo autonomous driving software stack, while Mercedes-Benz plans to use it to develop L3 and L4 autonomous driving technologies. Additionally, NVIDIA introduced the Halos SAFE safety assessment framework, which integrates simulation, hardware- and software-in-the-loop testing, road testing, and fleet monitoring. By standardizing scenarios, tests, and quantitative metrics, it generates traceable safety validation evidence to support the development and deployment of autonomous driving systems.
