On October 21, Mercedes-Benz made an announcement that its MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO assisted driving system, which has been developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, will be ready for customers to place orders in Germany during the first half of 2027. This system provides comprehensive assisted driving capabilities from start to finish, encompassing a range of operations such as changing lanes, making turns at intersections, and smoothly starting and stopping at traffic lights. It is classified under SAE Level 2, which means that drivers are still required to continuously monitor the road conditions and take responsibility for the driving task. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz has plans to offer this advanced feature to a select group of eligible customers in Stuttgart and Munich ahead of the general release, by the end of 2026.
