Our reporter has learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) that on October 15, the MIIT, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly convened a symposium with more than 30 leading automobile manufacturers. During the meeting, they expounded on the draft notice concerning the management of innovative design, research and development (R&D), testing, and verification processes for automotive products, which was open for public comment. They also reported on issues identified in previous inspections and urged companies to enhance their safety management practices and strictly adhere to safety standards, emphasizing the importance of avoiding irrational competition in the industry.
