The second-generation flagship model in the family lineup, the Yijing X9 Pure Electric Edition, has made its appearance in the MIIT’s latest vehicle declaration catalog. Alongside this, details regarding its body dimensions, powertrain configurations, and optional features have been unveiled, signaling the model’s formal entry into the pre-launch phase. The Yijing X9 Pure Electric Edition maintains the same body dimensions as its extended-range counterpart, providing customers with a choice between rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive powertrains. Both options come standard with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries. Furthermore, the vehicle offers a host of customization options, including two-tone body colors, a variety of wheel designs, and electric side steps. Notably, it boasts an even broader selection of wheel choices compared to the extended-range version. Earlier, the Yijing X9 extended-range version has firmly established itself as a premium family flagship, thanks to its remarkable market performance. The pure electric edition carries forward the design ethos of being “fully equipped with Huawei technology + spacious six-seater configuration”. It harnesses the full-stack, native co-creation strengths of Dongfeng and Huawei Qiankun to cater to the varied travel requirements of upscale family users, acting as a perfect complement to the extended-range version. With the declaration of the pure electric edition now complete, the Yijing X9 will boast a dual-powertrain setup, encompassing both extended-range and pure electric options, thereby crafting a comprehensive flagship product lineup. It is reported that the vehicle's pure electric edition is slated for an official unveiling in November.
