On October 13, a journalist from The Beijing News' Beike Finance channel reported that JAC Motors had issued a statement regarding the 'Explanation on the Inspection of Zunjie V800 Brake Pedal'. According to this explanation, the brake pedal of the Zunjie V800 complies with the industry benchmark QC/T 788-2018. It is designed to endure a longitudinal force of 1500N, resulting in a displacement of under 5mm. Moreover, even under a more rigorous test with a longitudinal force reaching up to 3000N, no cracks or damages were detected. Previously, a video published by Dongchedi depicted an emergency braking test where the brake pedal brackets of three Zunjie V800 vehicles snapped during a high-speed emergency stop at 100 km/h. In response, Zunjie Auto clarified that the test was carried out under non-standard, extreme conditions. Nonetheless, they committed to refining the component design and offering complimentary upgrades for vehicles already in circulation.
