When questioned about the EU's proposal for China to cap its hybrid vehicle exports to the EU at no more than 15%, Guo Jiakun recommended directing detailed questions to the relevant Chinese authorities. He underscored that the fundamental nature of China-EU economic and trade relations is one of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. Both sides, he stated, should uphold principles of open cooperation and seek to resolve any differences through dialogue and consultation on an equal footing, as this aligns with the shared interests of both parties. Furthermore, he highlighted that the growth of China's electric vehicle sector not only supplies global consumers with high-quality, cost-effective products but also actively contributes to the worldwide shift towards green and low-carbon practices.
