On September 18, NIO Automotive Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd. submitted a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation, adhering to stipulations outlined in the 'Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automotive Products.' The designated recall number for this campaign is S2026M0114V. Commencing from today, the company will proceed with the recall of a specific batch of Firefly pure electric vehicles, manufactured between March 20 and April 2, 2026, encompassing a total of 686 units. Owing to irregularities in the manufacturing process, the steering column torque sensor harness within the affected vehicles may experience interference with the sensor rotor. Under extreme circumstances, this interference could result in aberrant sensor signals, triggering the illumination of the electronic steering system fault indicator and a subsequent loss of steering assistance, thereby presenting a potential safety risk.
