On September 18, Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. submitted a recall plan to the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the "Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automotive Products" and its implementation measures, with the recall number S2026M0115V. The plan involves recalling some imported Jeep Wrangler hybrid vehicles produced from September 5, 2023, to March 26, 2024, totaling 979 units; and some imported all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe hybrid vehicles produced from July 19, 2023, to October 9, 2023, totaling 1,178 units. The reason for the recall is that these vehicles may have been contaminated by sand particles during the engine casting process, and the sand particles may have intruded into the engine, causing malfunctions. In extreme cases, the vehicle may lose power or a fire may break out in the engine compartment, posing a safety hazard.
