On July 20th, Wang Weiming, the Chief Engineer at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, disclosed that future initiatives will focus on coordinating efforts to stabilize industrial operations, achieve technological advancements, and foster equipment utilization, thereby driving the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry. The specific strategies are as follows: Firstly, to foster steady growth in the industry by executing relevant plans outlined in the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, promoting and implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry, and continuing to advance work plans aimed at stabilizing growth in sectors such as machinery, automotive, and electrical power equipment, thereby expanding high-quality supply and effective demand. Secondly, to expedite the research and development of key core technologies by fortifying strengths, addressing weaknesses, and consolidating foundations through industrial base restructuring and major technological equipment breakthrough projects, developing landmark products, and enhancing the resilience and security of industrial and supply chains. Thirdly, to promote the utilization of domestically produced equipment by enhancing supply-demand alignment in sectors such as industrial mother machines, intelligent robots, and medical equipment, and accelerating the application and dissemination of the first (set) of major technological equipment. Additionally, to encourage the adoption of new energy vehicles in rural areas, continuously conduct application pilots, market access trials, and on-road operation trials for intelligent connected vehicles with 'vehicle-road-cloud integration' to stimulate consumption vitality in the commodity market.
