Recently, a considerable number of GAC Aion vehicle owners have voiced concerns over batch quality issues pertaining to the 177Ah lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by CALB for various models. These issues include battery swelling, leakage, and even cell bursting. GAC Aion has informed Red Star Capital Bureau that this warranty enhancement initiative is specifically tailored for the Aion S series. This is because the S series has witnessed a notably high failure rate in commercial vehicles, predominantly within the mileage range of 150,000 to 300,000 km. To address these concerns, GAC Aion has extended the warranty period for the implicated batteries to 8 years or 300,000 km, whichever comes first. Moreover, they have bolstered their battery big data monitoring capabilities and are offering complimentary inspection, repair, or battery pack replacement services. Additionally, GAC Aion will provide subsidies to vehicle owners whose business operations have been disrupted due to battery problems necessitating repairs that extend beyond 5 days.
