On May 29, Li Auto embarked on a significant organizational restructuring within its Foundation Model Department, with the introduction of three innovative second-tier divisions dedicated to embodied engineering, embodied interaction, and embodied behavior. Concurrently, the autonomous driving division was elevated to an independent second-tier division, reflecting its strategic importance. Meanwhile, departments such as Data Engine, Simulation, and Evaluation will continue to operate on a parallel footing with these newly established divisions. Following this strategic realignment, the Autonomous Driving, Embodied Engineering, and Embodied Behavior divisions will come under the direct supervision of Zhan Kun, the head of the Foundation Model Department, who will in turn report to Xie Yan, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Li Auto.
