On May 26, Pony.ai unveiled its financial performance for the first quarter of 2026. According to the report, the company's total revenue for the quarter soared to RMB 236 million, marking a significant 145% increase from the same period last year. Its gross profit also rose notably, reaching RMB 38.36 million, up by 140.1% year-on-year. The Robotaxi business, in particular, shone brightly, with its single-quarter revenue hitting an unprecedented high of RMB 59.12 million. This represents a remarkable 395.4% year-on-year growth and a 28.7% increase from the previous quarter. Additionally, passenger fare revenue surged by 456.5% year-on-year. By May 2026, Pony.ai's Robotaxi fleet had expanded to over 1,700 vehicles. Given the robust growth witnessed in the first quarter, the company has decided to revise its 2026 Robotaxi business objectives upwards. It now anticipates full-year revenue to exceed 3.5 times that of 2025, with the fleet size growing to over 3,500 vehicles and business operations extending to more than 20 cities both domestically and internationally.
