On May 26, Shenzhen unveiled the outline of its 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. The plan sets forth an ambitious agenda to elevate the global competitiveness of Shenzhen’s key industries, including next-generation electronic information, new energy vehicles, new energy, and high-end medical devices. As part of this strategy, Shenzhen will intensify the implementation of the "ICT+" initiative, with a focus on pivotal areas such as next-generation mobile communications and cutting-edge display technologies. Moreover, the city will bolster its comprehensive manufacturing capabilities in semiconductors and integrated circuits, ensuring a robust foundation for technological advancement.

In tandem with these efforts, Shenzhen aims to expand the production scale of "Made in Shenzhen" new energy vehicles, enhance their technological sophistication, and expedite the pilot deployment of "vehicle-road-cloud integration" systems. The city is committed to establishing itself as a world-class automotive hub, fostering the comprehensive development of new energy intelligent transportation vehicles.

Furthermore, Shenzhen will accelerate the establishment of a world-class new energy storage industry center, promoting the full-chain development of source-grid-load-storage systems. This initiative is designed to empower new energy sectors, such as digital power grids and high-power charging/discharging facilities, to achieve a competitive edge in the global market. Simultaneously, the city will offer comprehensive support throughout the value chain for the growth of innovative medical device industries.

Looking ahead, Shenzhen anticipates that by 2030, the added value of its strategic emerging industries will surpass RMB 2.3 trillion, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards sustainable economic growth and technological leadership.
