In light of the swirling rumors suggesting that BYD is mulling over the acquisition of Maserati, BYD has officially stepped forward to debunk them as baseless. At an industry conference held in London, BYD's Executive Vice President, Li Ke, clarified that while the company is indeed keeping a close eye on premium assets within the European market, Maserati included, it has not entertained the notion of acquiring the brand. Furthermore, BYD is currently engaged in discussions with the Stellantis Group regarding the potential acquisition of its underutilized production facilities in Europe. Additionally, BYD is assessing the feasibility of acquiring or investing in other high-end European brands.
