According to sources on May 20, Stellantis is set to announce the formation of a joint venture with Dongfeng Motor, having already signed a letter of intent. Under the agreement, Stellantis will manufacture at least one pure electric vehicle model under Dongfeng's VOYAH brand at its plant in Rennes, France, and will hold a 51% stake in the joint venture. The deal may be announced as early as that morning. This move builds upon the strategic cooperation announced by both parties last week, under which Dongfeng Motor will produce Jeep and Peugeot branded vehicles in China.
