Mercedes-Benz has officially rolled out its brand-new, all-electric, ultra-high-performance sedan—the AMG GT four-door coupe, signaling the brand's decisive foray into the realm of ultra-high-performance electric vehicles. Constructed on the bespoke AMG.EA high-performance electric platform, this vehicle draws heavily from the technological prowess of the AMG GT XX concept car, which previously etched its name in history by covering a staggering 24,901 consecutive miles at the Nardò Ring test track in Italy.

The latest model is endowed with three axial flux motors, collectively generating a maximum power output surpassing 1,000 horsepower. This enables it to achieve a breathtaking 0-100km/h acceleration in just 2 seconds, with a top speed capped at 360km/h. It incorporates an 800-volt high-voltage architecture, facilitating ultra-fast charging capabilities of up to 850 kW. This means a mere 5-minute charge can provide a driving range of 400 kilometers.

In terms of intelligence, the vehicle is outfitted with the MB.OS operating system, featuring a triple-screen interior setup (comprising a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, a 14-inch central touchscreen, and a 14-inch passenger screen) along with the AMG TRACK PACE virtual race engineer function. The chassis is equipped with the AMG Active Ride Control air suspension system, which substitutes traditional anti-roll bars with hydraulic interconnection technology to strike an optimal balance between comfort and handling precision.

This new model is poised to go head-to-head with the Porsche Taycan, with the ambition to redefine the benchmarks for ultra-high-performance four-door coupes in the electric age.
