Recently, during institutional research, SigmaStar Technology disclosed that its inaugural high-end in-vehicle primary LiDAR chip, the SS901, has successfully entered mass production and is now integrated into the main models of a prominent domestic independent brand automaker. Addressing market inquiries concerning the mass production timeline of LiDAR chips, the company's potential as a supplier for Huawei's automotive series, and its anticipated performance growth, SigmaStar Technology clarified that its upcoming second chip will be tailored for in-vehicle blind-spot supplementation scenarios. The installation volume per vehicle for this new chip is projected to be several times higher than that of primary LiDAR chips. Furthermore, this versatile chip can be extended to various fields, including robotics, smart wearables, mobile imaging, and low-altitude economic equipment. It is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2026. SigmaStar Technology anticipates that, starting from 2027, in-vehicle LiDAR chips will usher in a phase of large-scale mass production, with a targeted shipment volume potentially reaching tens of millions.
