On the opening day of the May Day holiday, China’s first fully operational traffic management robot squadron, dubbed "Hang Jing Zhi Xing," officially commenced its duties in Hangzhou. Comprising 15 intelligent traffic management robots, the squadron is strategically stationed at major intersections surrounding the West Lake scenic area, the bustling Hubin commercial district, and key urban arteries. Collaborating seamlessly with human traffic police, these robots are tasked with deterring traffic violations among non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians, directing traffic flow, and assisting tourists with navigation. Equipped with advanced visual recognition algorithms and large-scale voice interaction models, the robots can precisely detect traffic infractions and offer tourists optimized route recommendations, swiftly becoming beloved fixtures on the city’s streets.
