Data released by the National Energy Administration reveals that, as of the end of March 2026, China's total number of electric vehicle charging facilities (charging ports) had surged to 21.481 million, reflecting a significant 46.9% year-on-year growth. Specifically, there were 4.863 million public charging facilities (charging ports), up by 28.1% from the previous year, boasting a combined rated power of 234 million kilowatts and an average power output of approximately 48.06 kilowatts. Meanwhile, private charging facilities (charging ports) numbered 16.618 million, experiencing a robust 53.5% year-on-year increase, with a reported installed electrical capacity of 147 million kilovolt-amperes.
