On February 25, in light of reports stating that Xiaomi had initiated legal action against a self-media account, seeking RMB 5 million in damages, and speculating that Li Bin, the founder of NIO, was the account's actual controller, sources connected to NIO clarified that the account in question is entirely owned by Beijing Yiche Information Technology Co., Ltd. They further emphasized that Li Bin divested all related shares in 2020 and has no ties whatsoever to the account involved in the lawsuit. Previously, Xiaomi's Legal Department had announced that the court found the self-media account guilty of disseminating false information, thereby infringing upon Xiaomi's reputation rights, and mandated it to pay RMB 5 million in compensation.
