A representative from BMW has verified that the upcoming revamped and enhanced 7 Series model, set to debut in April of this year, will not come equipped with the Personal Pilot L3 assisted driving system. This decision stems from the system's insufficient market demand and the limited advantages it offers to customers. Initially launched in July 2023, the system was available as an optional feature priced at 6,000 euros. Nevertheless, due to prevailing regulatory constraints, its capabilities are somewhat restricted, primarily suited for scenarios involving traffic congestion. Moreover, a few weeks prior, Mercedes-Benz declared its intention to discontinue the traffic jam assisted driving system in its S-Class and EQS-Class sedans, emphasizing its commitment to delivering systems that provide substantial added value and enhanced comfort to its customers.
