Guo Rui, a seasoned professional hailing from the 'Huawei ecosystem' and the former Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Honor, is rumored to have assumed the position of CEO at Luxeed, a premium smart car brand, by the close of 2025. An official announcement regarding his appointment is slated to be made internally in the foreseeable future. Guo Rui, an alumnus of the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University, boasts a distinguished career history, having served at both Huawei and Honor prior to his departure from the latter in December 2025. Luxeed, a high-end smart car marque born out of the collaborative efforts between Huawei and Chery, already features models like the Luxeed R7 and S7 in its lineup, and is poised to unveil the MPV variant, the Luxeed V9, in 2026.
