On February 10, the European Commission announced its acceptance of Volkswagen's price undertaking regarding the export of pure electric vehicles. Accordingly, Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd. can export the CUPRA Tavascan model to the EU at a price not lower than its proposed minimum import price, exempting it from the previously imposed anti-subsidy duties on pure electric vehicles imported from China. In addition to selling at the minimum import price, Volkswagen has also committed to limiting export volumes and will invest in a series of pure electric vehicle-related projects in the EU, setting clear milestones to support the EU's industrial strategy and climate transition goals.
