On December 16 (local time), Envision AESC's battery gigafactory in Sunderland, UK, commenced official operations, with a projected annual production capacity of 15.8GWh. Serving as the largest battery production hub in the UK, it is poised to play a pivotal role in propelling Europe's shift towards electrification. This new facility marks Envision AESC's third overseas factory to become operational this year, following the launch of its factory in Douai, France, and the energy storage production line in Tennessee, USA.
