Affected by weak market demand and high U.S. tariffs, automotive giant Volkswagen has decided to halt vehicle production at its Dresden factory in Germany. The factory, which began operations in 2001, produced its last car this Tuesday. This marks the first time in Volkswagen's 88-year history that a vehicle production plant in Germany has been shut down.
