The company has now launched its autonomous taxi service to the general public on the renowned Las Vegas Strip, and it has ambitious plans to ramp up production and extend its services to several cities across the United States. Zoox proudly highlights that it stands as the sole company globally to have successfully achieved compliant operation of taxis purpose-built for autonomous driving on public roads. These cutting-edge taxis boast a distinctive design, eschewing traditional steering wheels and pedals, and can reach a top speed of 72 kilometers per hour. Moreover, they come packed with a range of safety and comfort features to ensure a pleasant ride. Zoox has set up a large-scale production facility in Hayward, California, with an impressive annual production capacity exceeding 10,000 units. Looking ahead, the company has its sights set on launching services in cities such as San Francisco, Austin, and Miami.
