On December 16, XPENG Motors obtained an L3 autonomous driving road test license in Guangzhou and commenced regular testing on the city's high-speed test roads for intelligent connected vehicles. During its 2025 Tech Day, XPENG unveiled its second-generation VLA with L4 capabilities, which is expected to enter mass production and be integrated into vehicles in the first quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, XPENG plans to launch a mass-produced model with both hardware and software achieving L4 autonomous driving capabilities in 2026.
