The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that Ford is set to recall around 1.5 million vehicles across the United States. The reason for this large-scale recall is a malfunction in the rearview cameras of these vehicles. The issues include image inversion (where the picture is flipped upside down), distortion (where the image is warped or unclear), and black screens (where no image is displayed at all). These problems significantly heighten the risk of collisions, as drivers rely on the rearview camera to safely maneuver their vehicles, especially when reversing. The recall encompasses multiple Ford models produced between 2015 and 2019.
