According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ford Motor Company has announced a recall of approximately 1.5 million vehicles, spanning certain models produced between 2015 and 2019 in the United States. The recall stems from problems with the rearview cameras, such as image inversion, distortion, or blank screens. These issues pose a potential safety hazard, as they may elevate the risk of collisions.

To address this concern, Ford dealers will carry out inspections and replace the faulty cameras for vehicle owners at no cost. In a related development, Canadian automotive parts supplier Magna International Inc. is also conducting a recall of over 250,000 rearview cameras that have been installed on Ford and Stellantis vehicles, further underscoring the widespread nature of this camera-related issue.
